It’s crazy, the things we take for granted because we are too close to appreciate them. I bring this up because I live and work in a place where people travel across the country to visit. When I’m off from work, all I want to do is go home. Why? Because there are so many people and so much traffic. Besides that, I’m just plain tired; too tired to enjoy everything around me that so many others do.
One of my tasks is knowing what is going on in the area. There is one event that peaks my interest but I won’t be able to enjoy it, because I have to work. The neat thing about being in this place though, is how close I am to the event. I got live glimpses this week of something many would love to see; but some may never get the chance. Today, I appreciate those glimpses of the thing that I am so close to and usually take for granted.
