Growing up, the grass always seems greener on the other side. Whether it be that you can’t have that new outfit, go to the dance or whatever the reason may be. It’s upsetting because “everyone else is doing it”, but you can’t.
There were many things I wanted to do, but couldn’t. There were many places I wanted to go, but couldn’t. When I take stock of my life now, I am so thankful for all the times I couldn’t. I’m right where I’m supposed to be at this point in my life. I have people and things in my life that I never thought possible. I’m enjoying this season. Because of all the times I couldn’t, I’m now in a place where I can; and I didn’t have to give up anything to get here.
